What is Gideon’s Media Army? It’s a volunteer program to strengthen the message of biblical values and American life through cyberspace.
Gideon’s Media Army is a program whose purpose is to bring the truths of biblical living and American values to the world through the internet. The program will use volunteers who will post, blog and use online means to boost the visibility of our mission, which is “To reshape America by re-directing the current and future generations both morally and spiritually,” as stated at You Can Run International.
Need for the Program: It is ever more urgent to use the internet to get our message out, since this is where people hang out, especially the young. Think of how many people we can reach! It does not take an overwhelming majority to reform society. It only takes an irate tireless minority setting brush fires of freedom everywhere!
The Gideon’s Media Army program will empower you to stand up in your community! You will be shining the light of truth among your friends through the power of the share button!
How the Program Works: You, as a committed Christian and guardian of the truth of the Gospel and of the American Constitution, will make Facebook posts and put in links from other websites, which will let others know about the message of our ministry. Your friends will then see the truly important issues of the day being discussed. We will be setting a goal, such as so many hundreds, or thousands of posts per month, and we will be telling our fans how close we get to the goal. We need to talk it up and carry Gideon’s torch!

What Are the Qualifications? You must be a practicing Christian, at least 13 years old, have a Facebook page, and be able to help You Can Run, International on a volunteer basis, from wherever you can get an internet connection. You must have a minimum computer know-how, such as how to copy and paste a “URL,” or website address, into a Facebook post.
How to Become a Member. To become a member of Gideon’s Media Army, you must request it by clicking on our Sign Up Page and completing a simple form. We like to see comments from you on our Facebook pages (see below) to show that you share our values and have a willing spirit.

Why the Name “Gideon’s Media Army”? The book of Judges (Judges 6-7) relates how the Israelites long ago defeated a Midianite army of more than one hundred thousand soldiers with only 300 men, led by the general Gideon. After the Lord whittled down the size of Gideon’s army, allowing only the bravest and wisest to remain, the Lord told Gideon to walk toward the Midianite camp during the night, and told each soldier to carry a jar with a torch in it, and a trumpet. At Gideon’s signal, the men broke the jars, blew the trumpets, and shouted.
The Midianite army was struck with fear, and began slaying one another in confusion. Of course, our goal will be only to explain the truths which we are preaching so that people with good intentions will come to our cause. Like Gideon’s men, we may be outnumbered, but we have the truth on our side, which will prevail. Our message is the truth of the Gospel, of moral living, and of the traditional values at the bedrock of America’s foundation.
Why the Urgency? America is confused today, and the issues reaching our ears through the mainstream media are often distorted. We need to clarify the “enduring principles” of which our forefathers spoke, and explain the foundations of our republic, as the founders intended.
What is a Typical Task of a Gideon Media Soldier? Throughout the week, via email, members will be given assignments. Examples will be:

- Comment on a video at one of the ministry’s three YouTube channels: 1) Bradlee Dean and The Sons of Liberty, 2) You Can Run International, or 3) Junkyard Prophet.
- Comment on another social media platform, such as Google+, or Tumblr, about one of the ministry’s websites.
- Ask your school or church to link to www.YouCanRunInternational.com, www.BradleeDeanBlog.com, www.MyWarFilm.com, or other website.
- Report back to us with how many posts and links you made.
- Pray that God will touch the hearts of all who come to our websites and blogs.
What Are the Benefits? Besides the satisfaction of helping in God’s work, you will be interacting with our staff and other eager promoters of our ministry. We will also be giving out awards occasionally from our gift shop as a thank-you to some of our members. What a great group to belong to!
